As the owner of A Southern Land Title Insurance Agency, LLC, Dottie Black has devoted more than 20 years to the real estate industry. She began as a realtor in 1995 in the Raleigh area selling new homes. She and her husband, Michael, moved to Moore County in 2000. Dottie began her career in the Title Insurance Industry in 2001.

She was the Pinehurst Branch Manager and Marketing Representative for Fidelity National Title Insurance Company from 2001 until 2011. In October 2011 Dottie opened A Southern Land Title Agency, LLC. Her office provides title insurance throughout NC.

Dottie is a North Carolina native. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Barton College, formerly Atlantic Christian College, and now lives in Pinehurst with her husband Michael. They have two grown children.

Sharyn moved to Pinehurst, NC at the age of 12 from New Orleans. She attended Sandhills Community College earning an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Sharyn worked as a Registered Nurse. Needing a change of pace, she started working for a local real estate attorney and continued through the refinance boom, and in 2007 earned her NC Paralegal Certification.

Sharyn joined A Southern Land Title Agency in 2012 and became an NC Licensed Title Insurance Underwriter. Her experience preparing closing documents for real estate transactions, allows her to assess title insurance risks and assist with satisfying challenging underwriting requirements. Sharyn enjoys spending time with her friends and joins her family in Louisiana and Mississippi whenever possible.

Angie is a resident of Moore County and has been working in real estate for 22 years. She joined A Southern Land Title Agency in 2018 as an Underwriter. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her three daughters and granddaughter, reading and traveling.

Laura lives in Southern Pines with her husband and 2 sons. Originally from Kansas, she graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Human Biology. In 2012, Laura moved to North Carolina and became a Realtor shortly thereafter. She joined our team in 2022 as an Underwriter. Laura enjoys reading and travel.

Kerry joined our team in 2026 and brings with her 17 years of experience in the real estate industry. Four years ago, she relocated to Pinehurst from Cary, North Carolina. She attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-Medical Ethics. Throughout her career, Kerry has developed extensive expertise in appraisals, field underwriting, and closing package preparation, providing her with a well-rounded understanding of the real estate industry and a strong commitment to client service. Outside of work, Kerry enjoys kayaking, solving puzzles, and spending quality time with her family, which she considers her greatest joy.

Natalie was Kansas born, but Moore County raised. She attended Sandhills Community College earning an associate’s degree in criminal justice. She and her husband, Shawn, have one child. In her free time, Natalie enjoys reading, attending her daughter’s sporting events, and spending time with her family boating and fishing.

Kimberly is a Charlotte, NC native and 1988 graduate of Meredith College. She has a NC Elementary Education Teaching Certificate and is a NC Licensed Realtor. Kimberly assists with referrals and marketing in the Southern Pines office. She and her husband Jim have two children. She enjoys reading, traveling, live music and time at Sunset Beach with her family.
